On 28th of April the year 8’s of Glenbrae School went to Tamaki College to roam to different classes we had to wait for the other school’s to come then Mrs Moore the Deputy Principal introduced herself to the us and introduced the mentors to us. Then Mrs Moore called out the names that we had in our name tags our mentor was Lavinia Fine Polo.
Our first class was Social Studies with Mrs Apelu we went on to a site called Socrative and we did the space race it was basically like Knowledge questions first round we nearly won by Magenta took over us and beat us. So we came second and round two was another race that we took but we lost again and came forth.
After Social Studies was ICT with Mrs Anderson we got there and did coding with her on her own site it was Fun because we had to play angry bird but had to use the codes to move them around and get to there destination. We did a lot of coding then it was to pack up and head to morning tea at the hall.
After morning tea was Maths with Mr Jones welcomed us into his class and after we played battleships first we learnt with him the coordinates and the Y and X then we played all of us managed to beat him so we did.
Then it was Lunch we had the chiefs from the Tamaki cooking classes then lunch was over and we also had two classes left one was science and the other was English. First we went to Science with Mr Stoddard first he gave use balloons to rub on our hair and put it near small bits of paper and watched how the balloon lifts up the paper. Then he told us to turn on the taps and rub the balloons on our hairs and put it near the water and watched how the balloons bended the water.
